About the event

Mindfulness meditation is shown to improve concentration and focus, reduce stress, increase compassion, and self-awareness. It is helpful for ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, negative thinking and a long list of other conditions and harmful behaviors. Unlike many types of meditation where the emphasis is on emptying your mind, the focus of mindfulness meditation is on noticing what your mind is stuck on. You don't need to try not think... you simply need to observe where your thoughts are. This calss is designed to leave you feeling relaxed, increase your experience of joy and self-understanding.

The class will cover:

  • Prompted Journaling (10 minutes)
  • Mindful Topic (5 minutes)
  • Schedule Joy (5-10 minutes)
  • Meditation (20 minutes)
