About the event

Mindfulness meditation is shown to improve concentration and focus. It is helpful for ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and a long list of mental health conditions.

Unlike many types of meditation where the emphasis is on emptying your mind, the focus of mindfulness meditation is on noticing what your mind is stuck on.  It is to take a non-judgmental awareness of your thoughts and emotions. You don't need to try not think... you simply need to observe where your thoughts are. 

The beauty and benefit of these Sunday practices is that you begin to take the habit of mindfulness from the mat into your daily life for more peaceful and powerful interactions with yourself and others. Practicing mindfulness  on the mat will help you develop the habit of checking in with your inner self throughout your day -- as you type, wash dishes, walk, and go about your day.

The goal of this calss is to leave you feeling relaxed, help clear up your Monday Blues, and give you something joyful to look forward to for the week ahead.

  • Prompted Journaling (10 minutes)
  • Mindful Topic (5 minutes)
  • Schedule Joy (5-10 minutes)
  • Meditation (20 minutes)
